TRU Summer 2025: Real-World Innovation Supply Chain Management
Learner Capabilities Our Supply Chain Management students bring a strong foundation in logistics, procurement, operations, and inventory management, combined with hands-on experience using industry-relevant tools such as Excel, SAP, Power BI, and supply chain modeling software. Learners are equipped to analyze data, optimize processes, and develop practical solutions to real-world challenges. By working with our students, companies can expect: Analytical Problem Solving : Learners can conduct supply chain assessments, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven improvements. Process Optimization : Students apply lean principles and process mapping to streamline workflows and reduce costs. Inventory & Logistics Support : They are capable of developing inventory tracking systems, forecasting demand, and analyzing transportation logistics. Supplier Evaluation & Procurement Strategy : Learners understand sourcing strategies and can assist with supplier selection, evaluation, and cost analysis. Professional Communication : All students are trained in presenting findings, writing executive summaries, and collaborating effectively in teams. Partnering with our learners offers companies fresh insights, actionable recommendations, and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of supply chain professionals.

My Career Management Class at Thompson Rivers University seeks proposals for several 14-week projects from various organizations with project needs in tourism management, event planning, digital marketing, IT programming, finance, sustainability, public relations, and business operations . Organizations need only to present their real-world problems to solve and groups of students or individual students will select the projects to work on for the term of the experiential learning opportunity. Bring one or more students from Thompson Rivers University enrolled in Co-op Education to work with you in a project-based experience. Students are available for 30 hours (throughout the course) for the project experience from (Jan 20th to April 18th).

Winter 2023 TRU Students seeking short term projects

The Experience More initiative at Thompson Rivers University is seeking proposals for several 12-14 week projects from a variety of organizations that have project needs in the fields of digital marketing, finance, sustainability, public relations, and writing . Organizations need only to present their real-world problems to solve and groups of Bachelor of Arts, New Media, Business, and Journalism students or individual students will select the projects to work on for the term of the experiential learning opportunity. Bring on one more students from Thompson Rivers University enrolled in the Experience More initiative to work with you in a project-based experience. Students are available for a maximum of 50 hours (over the duration of the course) for the project.

Fall 2022 TRU Coop Students seeking short term projects

Organizations need only to present their real-world problems to solve and groups of Bachelor of Arts, New Media, Business, Computer Science and Journalism students or individual students will select the projects to work on for the term of the experiential learning opportunity. Bring on one or more students from Thompson Rivers University enrolled in Co-op Education to work with you in a project-based experience. Students are available between 30-50 hours (over the duration of the course) for the project experience from (October 1) to (Dec 15).
